Service Manager Company Overview DTN is a 50 year old vertically integrated real estate firm based in Lansing, MI.
We are one of Michigan's largest and well respected construction, development and ownership companies of multifamily real estate properties.
Through our development and operations team, DTN seeks to create and deliver unique experiences for those choosing a DTN home or apartment.
As the Renovations Project Specialist, you will influence and guide the experience for those that visit a DTN owned or managed community.
Job Summary Daily onsite management of Subcontractors by coordinating assignments, verifying quality of work and overseeing the schedule.
The Renovations Project Specialist is responsible for the completion and outcome of resident apartment upgrades.
As a Renovations Project Specialist, your primary responsibilities include:
Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following all guidelines, policies and procedures along with applicable state law requirements Ensure implementation of all appropriate health and safety standards Complete site inspections and audits while managing and directing all site activities Maintain quality control and safety regulations Control and supervise site activities Manage and supervise the site workforce Submit daily and weekly progress reports Review and update site hazard identification records and procedures Complete required documentation Acknowledge site closure Manage project inventory Participate in hands on assignments to ensure completion, that may include:
Carpentry:
installation of kitchen and bath cabinets, millwork, trim and door installation Plumbing:
minor repairs, toilet and fixture installation Electrical:
appliance and fixture installation Cleaning:
light cleaning upon completion of apartment improvements Painting and drywall:
minor repairs after apartment improvements Labor:
demolition, trash removal, bending, kneeling, reaching above head, appliance installation and lifting 25
lbs HVAC:
filter installation Tile:
installation of ceramic tile in kitchens Core Candidate Qualities:
Plumbing, electrical and carpentry skills High School Diploma and/or equivalent work experience 2
years' experience in maintenance, skill trades and/or construction industry The ability to communicate effectively and efficiently with residents, co-workers, supervisors and vendors Ability to exert 25 to 50 lbs of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 lbs consistently Basic tools required for job Can do attitude and collaborative mindset - We all succeed by working as a team An eye for detail - Our properties and team members are representing the DTN brand Desire to provide great customer outcomes Proficient with computers and various software platforms including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint Experience using industry software is preferred Reliable transportation to get to work daily and conduct daily job responsibilities
