This role has the opportunity to make a significant impact on the organizational culture and credit union philosophy.
The primarily responsibilities of the Organizational Development & Events Coordinator will involve managing daily inquiries from employees, helping to plan and organize culture-building initiatives, career and leadership development, and events, supporting employee well-being, facilitating recognition of accomplishments, assisting in driving positive change and managing the employee charitable giving program.
The role of this position is to support a culture that lives our mission and core values through meaningful programs and initiatives.
Work Arrangement - This position is able to work hybrid or onsite at our East Lansing headquarters.
Compensation & Benefits - Salary Range:

1 Match Tuition Reimbursement 12 Weeks of Paid Parental Leave Essential Duties & Responsibilities Organizational Development & Events Coordinator - Plans and coordinates events including service awards, wellness, employee appreciation, retirement parties, and various other celebrations to maximize employee connections Assists in the coordination of leadership development programming by creating quarterly dashboards and monthly status updates, tracking progress on program deliverables, and creating and maintaining communications Administers and supports the leadership podcast by coordinating room and equipment reservations and preparing communications Administers Gallup Strengths codes, maintains team structure within Gallup, and audits Gallup access and permissions for Q12 Maintains calendar of Credit Union events and catalogs details accordingly Maintains the logo wear store and inventory Helps administer the internship program, including maintaining the alumni program Researches new, engaging logo wear items and facilitates orders of logo materials for employee gifts, recruiting fairs, etc.
Acts as a support and resource for employee wellness, recognition, workplace sustainability, and employee giving programs Supports and coordinates activities related to employee giving and volunteerism Assures compliance with all applicable laws and policies/guidelines and identifies opportunities to develop and implement new practices/guidelines to achieve business goals Ensures all related expenses and cash transactions are in accordance with budget and properly accounted for Assists in the creation and maintenance of policies, practices, and procedures Identifies ways to celebrate employee milestones, including joining the organization, having a child, being promoted, getting married, etc.
Attends and coordinates various meetings, luncheons, and events in the community while representing the MSUFCU brand Acts as a liaison to vendors, managing relationships including contract renewals, invoice review, and purchasing and delivery of various items Administers surveys and interprets results, especially as it relates to feedback regarding relevant events and programs Collaborates with Human Resources and other departments to ensure compliance with necessary policies, procedures, and regulations Assists with the development and implementation of communication strategies to reinforce credit union values and beliefs in order to drive employee engagement Assists in change management initiatives by organizing meeting content, analyzing change readiness findings, and various other activities Assists in organizing content and resources related to Career Development Participates in training activities within the department or branch and with the learning and talent development department; such training helps to ensure employee compliance with Credit Union policies and state and federal regulations and laws Perform other duties and assist other employees, as assigned Sr.
Organizational Development & Events Coordinator - Acts as a partner to Internal Communications and Human Resources teams to create engaging content and campaigns to showcase Credit Union events Manages the evaluation of various initiatives to measure success and identify areas for change/improvement Researches and makes recommendations for new vendor partnerships in alignment with the department's goals Proposes new opportunities for employee events to build connection and community Make recommendations on various initiatives including wellness, DEIB events, and employee giving by using a thorough understanding of Human Resources Department and Credit Union goals Conducts pre- and post-event evaluations with attendees and vendors to track success and learn from outcomes in order to identify positive changes in the future Manages external partnerships and vendors, building and maintain strong relationships with key connections Prepares budgetary recommendations that meet departmental goals and provide for effective management of resources Review contracts and participates in negotiations independently Negotiates vendor pricing to ensure competitive rates Evaluates strategies and programming to measure the achievement of established goals and make necessary adjustments to maximize employee engagement and resources Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required Organizational Development & Events Coordinator:

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
