Our client, located in East Lansing, MI is looking for an experienced Mechanical Designer for a 6 month contract assignment. In this role, you will design technical equipment and support the life cycle from concept, design, fabrication to testing and installation.
Responsibilities will include:
Use 2-D and 3-D drawings and models produced by designers and engineers to create detailed drawings
Extensive use of GD&T
Produce and document effective design solutions by developing concepts, performing engineering calculations and creating CAD designs
Provide engineering support for fabrication, assembly and commissioning of technical equipment
Interact with project leader and SME to transform technical requirements into design solutions
Present design solutions to stakeholders
Required Education & Experience
Associates degree in Mechanical Engineering
4
years of progressive work experience as Mechanical Designer
Experience producing and checking mechanical drawings for production
CAD/CAE
Solidworks
