Maximizes the reliability, accessibility, integrity, and analytical utility of the university's data; provides technical leadership of data governance initiatives such as developing and maintaining data dictionaries and metadata repositories; facilitates cross-functional communications regarding MSU data usage and assists in data issue resolutions; creates, documents, and implements data policies, processes, procedures, and issue resolutions within the context of an enterprise data management system and/or governance framework; coordinates communications and documentation to enable the transparency of the processes that create, enhance, maintain and govern the use of MSU data; acts as a key resource in the area of information stewardship and governance to ensure the integrity of information by leading the implementation and ongoing maintenance of data stewardship activities, including metadata management, reference/master data management, and data quality; facilitates the remediation of issues affecting data quality, security, availability, and protocols (business logic) by engaging the resources needed to resolve data issues and escalate problems if a consensus is unattainable by a committee formed from appropriate functional and technical resources; provides ongoing review, modification, and documentation of complex data management systems and engage in data change management processes that may affect data quality, availability, security, audits, and reports; develops and delivers processes that identify, analyze, report, and address data quality and data usage issues; develops and delivers processes to document and manage data creation, updates, deletion, and use; develops and delivers processes that evaluate and document new or changing data sources; provides training and consulting services that enable individuals and units to access University data and that support Information Stewardship initiatives; participates in Data Governance programs.
Minimum Requirements;
Knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired by completing one or two years of post-bachelor degree work, such as a master's degree in computer science, data analytics, data management, or a related field; five years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in data management, stewardship and governance, business analytics, and report development; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Desired Qualifications;
Bachelor's degree in database administration, business intelligence, or similar data related degree; experience managing and securing sensitive or restricted data; experience implementing data stewardship or data governance programs; knowledge of MSU data; project management training and experience; experience working in higher education, preferably a higher education research university; strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to coordinate and implement multiple projects and timelines; strong collaborative and interpersonal skills in a team environment.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
