Learning Technology, which is a part of IT Services, supports faculty in producing instructional content and tools for high-quality online & blended courses. We seek a talented instructional technologist to help ensure the content and tools included in MSU's online and blended curriculum are accessible to all learners. Many of our projects include rich Web technologies such as HTML 5, AJAX, Flash and multimedia in a variety of formats. Current and future courses require proactive remediation and creation to ensure accessibility. The successful candidate will be expected to use their experience in Web accessibility standards and assistive technologies to consult and implement instructional content and Web applications; this is an ideal fit for someone that enjoys working for the public good at a university, wants an innovative environment, and can handle membership on multiple concurrent project-teams.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, business, or related information technology field, with coursework in an information technology specialization related to the area of employment; one year of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in Web development, and using common multimedia formats and tools, including linear and interactive digital video; experience with Web coding language such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript; experience with assistive technologies like screen readers and speech cognition; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Qualifications:
One to three years of progressively more extensive work experience developing in web code language such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript; familiarity with Web-based standard such as WCAG 2.0, ePub3; experience with computer graphics, design and video editing software; experience producing accessible documents using Word, PDF, and other common document formats; experience with video captioning processes, including use of outsourced services; familiarity with rapid e-learning authoring tools; demonstrated ability to translate technical requirements into simple work processes for casual users; demonstrated understanding and empathy for clients and users; demonstrated ability to communicate directly with clients regarding requirements and expectations; demonstrated ability to consult with and train client on technical knowledge and processes; familiarity with project management techniques and tools; familiarity with content repositories or content management systems; drive to learn as necessary to acquire new learning theories, code-language and technology fluency.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
