TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Requires Scrum Master Certification - With strong knowledge/experience in Scrum theory, practices, and rules. Two (2) years minimum work experience leading Agile development teams combined with seven (7) years minimum overall years work experience within information technology. Requires solid knowledge and understanding of Agile's development practices, processes, methodologies, and benefits provided using Agile within service-oriented environments. Requires effective knowledge and understanding of other SDLC's development practices, processes, methodologies for reinforcing their value and benefits provided. Must have experience, knowledge and understanding of iterative development, incremental delivery and the value of metrics. Must have effective knowledge and understanding in Backlog tracking, Burndown Metrics, Velocity, and Task Definition
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides effective leadership with successful effective team development skills and understanding the importance and value in learning and becoming knowledgeable of each team member's skills, abilities and specific area of technical expertise plus joining in and getting hands on involved in effective open groups discussions providing hands on examples of other useful and effective methods, tools and processes for group members to use, analyze and discuss results to determine effectiveness use of other methods, tools and processes in order to create and achieve acceptance and use of new methods and processes. Experience leading a team to self-organize while reinforcing organization and time management skills and in meeting and achieving individual as well as group project requirements, objectives and scheduled timelines. Requires effective verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal communication skills required for creating successful software team development environment encompassing a diverse cultural background. Requires effective experience in leading, facilitating and resolving project software development issues as well as facilitating and resolving other potential conflict situations. Requires assertive and proactive skills and abilities for ensuring Agile/Scrum concepts and principles are adhered to by all team members. This Scrum Master project is long term 12 months with potential 12 month extension. The Scrum Master identified for this project may have a combination of skills, abilities and experience in development, Project Management (PM or PMP), software development life cycle, testing and/or other valued areas of expertise within information technology.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE INCLUDES:
A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience with an educational focus on Engineering, Engineering Technology or Computer Science.
CERTIFICATION: An Associate-Level CCNA Certification or other Associate-Level Certification.
LOCATION: EAST LANSING, MI
START DATE: IMMEDIATE which refers to ASAP
HOURLY CONTRACT: W2 Hourly Contract - Paid for all hours worked.
DURATION: 12 MONTHS ++
PLUS potential 12 month extension.
PREFERENCE: Seeking qualified candidates living within a daily commutable distance to East Lansing, Michigan. (located more on the western side of east lansing)
