Serves as a data analyst/administrator on the Enterprise Information Stewardship Team, collaborating with business owners and implementation teams on issues related to data governance/stewardship, metadata, data quality, and data integration; researches, analyzes and documents transactional system functionality, data lineage, data security and reporting related to a data warehouse/business intelligence environment; applies knowledge of existing business systems and processes (such as research administration) to advise business application teams with integrated system development and implementation decisions, including identifying practices for managing shared data.
Minimum Requirements:
Knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired by completing a bachelors degree in computer science, information systems, business, or related information technology field, with coursework in an information technology specialization related to the area of employment; five years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in data analytics, data management, stewardship and governance, business analytics, and report development; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Qualifications:
Participation in one or more projects employing full system development life cycle methodologies; skills in data administration and security; experience analyzing and documenting transactional system metadata; experience in data conversion activities and documentation; basic understanding of data governance and stewardship concepts (data management, data quality, data security, etc.), with application of enterprise policies, processes and best practices to system-level development and business processes; experience with MSU data, systems or processes, including but not limited to: Enterprise Data Warehouse, Cognos BI suite, IBM Infosphere products, identity management, change management, and system landscape; experience working with data in one or more of the following data domains: Human Resources, Finance, Research Administration, Student administrative systems, University Advancement, or Residential and Hospitality Services; demonstrated analytical ability, exposure to business process analysis, sound professional judgment, and facilitation skills; excellent interpersonal and oral/written communications skills.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
