Info Tech Assistant Dir/Chief of Staff

Manages and coordinates planning and reporting processes in collaboration with management. Reviews IT policy guidelines, staffing, vendor partnerships and makes timely cost-effective recommendations to management.
Minimum Requirements: Knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired by completing a four-year college degree program in computer science, information systems, business, or a related information technology field, with course work in an information technology specialization related to the area of employment; more than eight years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience including at least three of the following: project management, applications design and programming, data center operations, systems programming, database administration, office automation, production analysis, client computing, consulting services, financial management, long-range planning and data security; and management; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Desired Qualifications: Knowledge of MSU business processes; experience working in higher education, preferably experience in information technology; experience managing and securing sensitive or restricted data; exceptional communication skills both verbal and written are desired.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
