The successful candidate will maintain, design, configure, deploy, and administer various applications and servers for the Teaching and Learning division of IT Services at Michigan State University. Additionally, candidate will provide tier III support for the helpdesk.
Minimum Requirements:
A bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related information technology field; three years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience supporting Linux server infrastructures, Web applications, and cloud services; experience writing and maintaining Web-based applications using languages such as PHP, Perl, and Ruby; knowledge of scripting languages for task automation; experience with automated server applications Puppet and Chef; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Qualifications:
Experience independently designing, planning, installing, and troubleshooting Linux servers (Apache, MySQL, PostgreSQL, PHP); knowledge of security policies, firewalls, VLANs, and network configuration; familiarity with common networking protocols, firewall configuration and troubleshooting; excellent deductive skills and an understanding and acceptance of the need to support a 24/7 service; strong understanding of ITIL framework and the ability to deliver services within agreed upon service levels; self-motivated; strong oral and written communication skills; ability to work independently or with a team to accomplish complex tasks; ability to lead a project through familiarity with standard project management processes.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
